Nubar Purple Rain Glitter

Hello!

I had an adorable and unexpected visitor tonight, so I am a tad delayed in my posting this evening. My BF’s brother stopped over to assist with something involving spark plugs and a car with Parkinson’s and I got to hang out with the 4 year old princess. We watched The Lorax and colored in my Tangled coloring book (Am I the only 30 something with crayons and coloring books?) and played Operation, which mostly involved intentionally bumping the tweezers against the metal so the board buzzed loudly. All in all, a fun evening.

For nails tonight, I have Nubar Purple Rain Glitter, a deep purple jelly-ish base filled with purple glitter and flecks of holographic glitter. Photos don’t even do it justice. This one is gorgeous. The polish is opaque, I used three for good measure, and finished it off with Cult Nails Wicked Fast. It was so shiny!

If youve never tried Nubar polishes, they are completely underrated. Every one I own is fantastic, but they kind of get lost in the shuffle with some of the bigger brands, despite having so many pretties! I’ve gotten all of my Nubar polishes from Amazon for $5-8, depending of the polish. They retail for around $8 from bynubar.com.

  1. Oh this is so pretty! I do like Nubar. I’m not crazy about purple, but this one is just so jammy. Or jelly-y, I guess, in American… like a blackberry jam tart. Do you have jam tarts? Am I talking gibberish? I’ll just shut up and say it’s pretty and your nails are lovely and your photos are lovely. x

We have jam tarts (or an Americanized version), but they’re not common. My mom bakes a lot of cakes and cookies and brownies, but not as many pastries. Tarts and torte and pie and cheesecakes are my downfall, though. I would weigh 900 lbs. if I had them readily available. You can talk all the British gibberish you want. :)
